I've recently been replaying this game after many years. It is still quite the gem! It held true to the (then current) D&D tabletop rules and it managed to be challenging, without being frustratingly so. For me, the most irritating part of the game is the necessary evil of grinding from time to time, to make sure I can travel to a certain area without encountering "instant death" combats. However, compared to the grinding in modern MMOs, it is a minor inconvenience and does not detract overmuch from the quality of the game. A true classic, a flashback to a golden era of games and an old golden age of D&D.
