The Assembly 2006

This years Assembly was held from the 3rd to the 6th of August. Unfortunatly, there was not many productions released for the Amiga, but those that found their way to the different competitions was splendid. One demo in particular has caused excitement in all corners of the Scene, and that particular demo was released by the well known crew The Black Lotus. The name of the demo is Starstruck and it can easily be obtained from here. There you can also find a link to a videograb of the whoe thing, which is quite convinient for those of us that doesn't have a powerful Amiga with a 060 beast underneath the hood.

One more thing about Starstruck by The Black Lotus. It participated in the category Combined Demo, which means that The Black Lotus had to compete with a whole bunch of PC crews. They managed to win the whole competition, and that says a lot. So, congratulations to The Black Lotus, and let's hope that they will continue to serve the Amiga community with many more productions in the future. Also, Rave Network Overscan, the always active group, released a neato prod as well. Just like Starstruck, it is a must see. Get it here.

As a last comment, I was surprised to see so many productions being released at this party. One must also remember that two diskmags was released just before Breakpoint, so there are things happening in the Amiga Demoscene these days.

Good to see that there is some activity left.
