Aminet is an FTP style directory of Amiga software.   All software on Aminet is open source, freeware or shareware and released into the Amiga community for everyone to use and enjoy.

It is one of the greatest resources of computer software and files in existence, running since 1992 and still being updated and maintained daily, and it is unsure if any other platform enjoys such a resource.  Aminet is the first port of call when looking for any drivers or system related files for the Amiga, and for many other file types too, including comms, disk utilities, music software, music mods, general utilities, workbench utilities, games, demos, documentation... the list could go on.
If you are an Amiga user then aminet will be an invaluable resource for you.
