Rick Dangeous is a Jump 'n' Run Game and was released for Amiga, Atari ST, C64, PC and ZX Spectrum.

Rick Dangerous is a really fun game, you are that Indiana Jones type adventurer and have to run from stone boulders and get past strange aborigines to get through the level alive. You die instantly if you touch them or any of the many traps that you find in the levels. I guess the thing i remember most from that game was the funny sounds the characters make when they die. The problem with the game is that it is very hard. Mostly you have to know the levels by heart or you will die after jumping down from any platform because you can't see what's waiting for you down there. But still it manages to get you to try again and again.

Rick Dangerous is indeed a decent game with decent graphics and sound. Gameplay is very easy, and once you're into it, you can have some great fun with the game. But as Oz already mentioned, you have to learn the levels (there are 4 of them) by heart, to know where traps and opponents are placed, otherwise you'll die instantly. Therefore lifespan also is very limited.

Pick it up, give it a try, the game sure has its strengths, forget about its sometimes hard level design, and as above-mentioned, the screams of the characters are just hilarious. Have fun :-)
