Very nice 40K intro

Very nice intro. It's 3D effects may look quite primative by todays standards, but remember that the Amiga was panned at the time for not being able to shift 3D texture mapped images due to it's Amiga's planar graphics method of display. This demo clearly shows that way of thinking was incorrect!

This runs very smoothly on an A1200 with 8MB fast ram, which is very impressive when you consider everything in the demo including the 3D textures and the music are all being generated on the fly. No predefined texturemaps or audio samples here!

And the music is pretty cool too.

Some may find this intro a bit boring due to it's effects and 3D design being very common in more recent PC demos. But when watching, remember a standard AGA Amiga is running this! And also take into account that its all being done in 40K of filespace (39.4K to be exact).

This 40K intro is well worth watching if you have a couple of minutes spare.

It runs perfectly via emulation too. In WinUAE I got it running at full speed with zero slowdown by setting to up as an A1200 with 8MB fast ram and a 68040 CPU. I mounted a folder containing the intro file as an Amiga HD and booted from a Workbench 3.1 disk. Double clicking the demo file boots the demo.

...
Awesome 40KB intro from Nature. Contains a wide range of interesting effects, some in HAM8, which is impressive in itself. Also, get ready to see some cool 3D scenes. No wonder this intro won the Mekka Symposium 1999 party. A must see!!
