Sceners today do most of their demo trading via the Internet, but things haven't always been this way. From the beginning of the Scene and for many, many years, swapping was the way to get hold of both new and old stuff. For those that aren't familiar with swapping, I can explain it using another term, namely mail trading. It's all about sending stuff via ordinary mail. If you want more information concerning this, there's an article on this site dealing with the topic.

A special thing with this swaptro, is that it was released in the year 2000. I know that there were quite a few active swappers still going strong on the Amiga that year. Mostly, such prods as this was released in the 80's and 90's, so it's fun to see such stuff with modern design and effects. Some might also remember the swaptro from Apathy that came out on Breakpoint 2006, only one year ago, so maybe swapping isn't completely dead after all? ;)

This is a small intro, but it does the job a swaptro is supposed to do very well. The music is excellent and I just kept on watching the intro because of that. The graphics and design looks cool as well, and the same goes for the effects that are included. There is also some text with the authors address, some greetings and so on. All of this goes together in a fine well, and it's therefore nicely executed by the author.

All in all, a cute small production from Loaderror of Ephidrena. It doesn't have many effects or anything like that, but that is not the point of a swaptro anyway.

I've also read somewhere that Loaderror managed to get some new contacts from this intro, which shows that it worked as it was intended.

Thumbs up!
