Elite Advanced

There is a modified version of Elite available, called Elite Advanced. The changes in this modified version have been made by AmiGer under the CARE project (http://www.discreetfx.com/Care/).

The modifications are as follows:

• New ship: Warrior MkIV !
  Big and fast battle ship. Transports Gold ! Has many rockets and it's hard to defeat...
  Bounty: 30.0, Points: 150
• New Ship: Colubrid II Middle class ship.
  Transports narcotics !
  Bounty: 20.0, Points: 100
• New Equipment: Climatech Universal Laser Cooler
  Costs: 6500 cr, Available on tech level 6
  Cools your laser so it doesn't overheat.
  Take care: activated cooler decrements your energy !
  Activate/deactivate with key 'O'.
• New Equipment: M2031A3 Heavy Military Laser
  Costs: 9500 cr, Available on tech level 12
  Double the efficiency of a normal military laser.
• Some other adjustments/updates:

1. Planet colours in space now fixed so they match the colours in the local navigation chart, etc.
2. Equipment is now split into two pages if more then 15 equipment items are available.
3. Rating points table halved, so you reach the E-L-I-T-E status and the missions earlier.
4. Harddisk installable and Workbench startable (just copy the two files to your hd).
5. Return to the OS via "Exit" in the "Options".
6. AGA fixed.
