Pygmy Projects was a group on the Amiga Demo Scene from Finland. This country has fostered quite a few top notch crews throughout the years. Many will remember the Finnish members of teams like CNCD, Virtual Dreams, Parallax, Stellar and Dual Crew Shining.

Finland is also famous for being the host country of the Assembly. The Assembly is a demo party which has now been held for many, many years in a row. Each year, there has been many quality productions released, which does of course include stuff for the Amiga.

Extension won the Assembly 1993. A party where Pygmy Projects had to compete with the following crews; Virtual Dreams with their demo 242, Melon Design with the Romantic Demo, and Analogy with Hysteria. That they managed to win says a lot about the demo, because the competition was hard to say the least.

The effects shown in Extension is particularly good. Many of them are quite advanced, but also stylish at the same time. They might seem a bit old-school now (although 1993 IS old-school), but when it was released, they pushed the hardware of the Amiga to its limits.

Jester was responsible for the music in this production. Like with World of Commodore, he truly brings atmosphere to the demo. The track is polished and smooth and flows well with what is shown on the screen.

All in all, Extension is a demo that is well worth seeing. It was highly advanced for its time, and it is impressive even today.
