The start of something special,  Monday, 09 October 2006 Dune II was the start of a new style of Strategy game. This was the Westwood game that went on to later develop into the Command and Conquer series.

The gameplay is addictive, the control system just right and the level of difficulty well balanced as you progressed through the game.

When this game was released it was the first of it's kind and is still as playable and fun today as it was back then. Any fan of Dune will enjoy this as much as any fan of the Command and Conquer style of game who wants to see where it all began.

 Looks ok to start with,  Sunday, 08 October 2006 At the time Out Run was in the arcades I remember hoping for a home computer version. But sadly the Amiga version wasn't all it was hoped it would be. The graphics were ok but not amazing and the music was badly cut down from the original.

If you like racing games then give it a try, but others such as Lotus are a long way ahead of Out Run and offer a much longer lifespan.

 A great arcade conversion?,  Sunday, 08 October 2006 I first remember playing this game, and it's predecessor, in the arcades. The Amiga version was a very faithful conversion which managed to retain all of the gameplay of the original including the simultaneous 2 player mode.

It wasn't so hot in the graphics department and could have been much better in this respect, but that didn't ruin the gameplay.
