This is a game about a martial arts Kangeroo leaping around, hitting things and collecting things. Thats it. The only reason this is AGA is for the ripped background art and to give the 2 year old who drew this game a bigger pallette. This would have been a terrible PD game but for someone to have audacity to release this commercially is the reason why AGA amigas signalled the end of the Amiga. There are no redemable features about this game. It sucks on so many levels. Controls are awful, gameplay is pathetic, you can get better sound out of a ZX81 and as soon as it loads you'll hit reset.
If you have lost the will to live and need that extra push then play this and you're final thought will be happy as you'll never have to see this abomination again.

This is a difficult game to review. Partially due to the high specifications needed to run this game on an Amiga (this will work on WinUAE if the installation goes right)and partially due to RTS's on other formats.

This is by far the best RTS on the Amiga in every aspect. It starts off with a wonderfull cinematic intro movie (probably the best i've seen on the Amiga) and continues with some superb graphics throughout the game. The sound is crisp and clean and the gameplay is easy to get into.
The problem comes in the fact that by any other systems standards this is a average Command and Conquer clone. The best ever on the Amiga but still average.

There are 3 levels of difficulty and the standard 2 sides (Earth vs Aliens) and many different missions. You can play against someone else across a LAN network but I've not tried this so it's i don't know how easy/good this is.

Overall I would say if you have a very high end Amiga or use UAE and would like to see what a high end Amiga can do then buy this.

In the annuals of Amiga history Cinemaware have produced some of the best early games for the Amiga, such as Defender of the Crown and It Came From The Desert. This however is not one of them. Whilst the others could have won Oscars this is too bad for a Razzie!

The plot's a simple one. Grandmas orphanage is under threat by an evil Banker. You have to "control" Larry, Curly and Moe into collecting money to save the orphanage. If this was a platform game you'd be jumping over everything collecting money. It's not. You have to complete sketches from Three Stooges films to make money. Each sketch takes 1 day and you have 30 days to get the money needed. Unfortunately for you to do these sketches you have to stop a randomly moving hand over one of 6 choices. These choices range from just watching the characters picking money up, to pie fights, to getting your finger trapped in a mousetrap and losing a life. Unfortunately it doesn't matter what you do you will never have any real control so you may as well just give your joystick over to the nearest chimpanzee and have fun seeing how long it takes for it to get bored and beat you to death with the joystick.

If you are a fan of the Three Stooges you might have fun trying to answer the trivia questions, I say trying because although you may know the answer being able to control the game so that the Stooges give the right answer is another thing.

The only saving grace of this game is in the intro and that's only because you start the game up and think you're going to be playing Defender Of The Crown but then the Stooges come along and spoil your fun. Play this game only to see how bad it is.

Just when you thought it was safe to go into the garden...
The original Worms was one of the most fun games ever for the Amiga but as a swan song Team17 improved upon the formula by releasing Worms: The Directors Cut. This has long been touted as Worms 1.5 but as it's better than any version of Worms produced ever since then it is the definitive worms game ever. More weapons more landscapes, more options.. in fact just more. If you have an AGA amiga get this game, get a few beers in, invite some friends and then blow them to hell and back.

I remember when this game first came out and was deafened by the sound of jaws dropping at the sight of the intro. This was the most eye achingly brilliant game of it's time. It showed off what could be done with 32 colours on screen if you really tried.

The controls could be painstakingly precise but you ignored that because you wanted to see what was on the next screen.

The main downside of this game was first it's short lifespan and then that it was surpassed by the even better Flashback.

If you've never played this game before, Shame on you! Buy it, Download it, whatever but just play it!
